About Janie Lee Kelley
Janie Lee Kelley was born in Edmonds, and was raised in Stanwood Washington. She started performing as little girl, and had her first experience in front of a live audience singing for her middle school assembly “ American the Beautiful.” At the age of 14 is when she started performing regularly at local open mic’s. Her musical influences certainly take on a variety of different sounds and styles. From Whitney Houston, to Doris Day, Alanis Morissette, Kim Walker-Smith, to Evanescence, Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Crystal Lewis.
Janie has been singing professionally since the age of nineteen years. She’s been performing, writing music and recording in the studio for over a decade working on her own original projects, as well as performing live with a variety of musical acts and solo musicians.

2010-Present Day- Lead singer with band “ Soul Purpose” for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Seattle WA.
2017- Volunteer Singer at Children's Hospital, Seattle WA.
2016- Lead singer with band “ Soul Purpose” for Northwest Aids Foundation, Seattle WA.
2013 & 2017- Two time 1st Runner up for Evergreen State Fair Singing Competition, Monroe WA.
2013-2014- Performed with The Brian & Janie Show, lead vocalist- The Iron Horse Casino, Seattle WA
2013- Lead singer with band “ Soul Purpose” at Bumbershoot, Seattle WA.
2013- Auditioned for American Idol, moving on through three separate ‘rounds’ of the process, Portland, Oregon.
2006- Composition and Studio Recording with and for John Burkman of the L.A. Phil Harmonic, Los Angeles California.
2005- Studio Session work singing for Barry Manilow’s “ The Greatest Songs of the 60’s”, Los Angeles CA.
Currently, Janie is performing on rotation at live music venues in the greater Seattle area.
